We would like to make you aware of an exciting initiative which will run over the next three years. Scottish Borders schools have agreed to pay Mary’s Meals to feed the poor children of Chizungulire and Likole primary schools in Malawi. Details hereWe are having 3 Theme days this year and next year, the first one being Wednesday Burns day the 13th June and the final one this year will be 16th October. On those days SBC is donating 3pence for every meal sold to Mary's Meals.

Scottish Borders Council is currently reviewing how effective its Parental Involvement Policy has been, and would like to know your views on parental involvement in your school.  Please could you go online and fill in the survey found at the following web address:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/SBCparentalinvolvement

or ask your school for a paper copy of the survey, which can be returned in a sealed envelope via the school office.

Thank you for your help with this.

Pupils will be given info in PSE classes about CPR techniques. The video advert about this featuring Vinnie Jones can be accessed here.

In the event of the school being closed again due to the weather we have created a bank of useful websites that will allow learning to continue at home. Pupils should also refer to the relevant GLOW groups and pages on this website.

You may also wish to refer to this page from the SBC website that highlights useful sites to visit.

The school are currently involved in an Eco-Enterpise project that involves making and selling paper briquettes. S2 are currently taking the lead with this but the work invloved will be extended to other year groups. We are currently at the production stage and more information will appear obout this when we begin marketing.
